Cycle of love (Poem by Med School Girl)

I wrote this poem awhile ago when someone who was pretty close to me broke my heart. I would like to share it with all women and men across the world who have also felt the same sensations before. From the deep south of the States, my heart reaches out to you all. I hope this poem makes you feel better, even if it is in the slightest of ways. Happy New Year everybody!!!!!

I wish I would stop,

And never love again,

Take an oath of chast,

And unlove.

I wish I could prevent,

And never love again,

But now it seems to be,

No luck.

It’s a bleak, dark break!

But then again…

It’s a whole heart break!

But it happens again…

The cycle of love has repeated again,

And now my love is dead,

I would like to see,

No wonder…

If I saw ever in my eyes,

What would come to survive,

If I could only see,

No wonder…

If I only saw what would come!

Then again…

If I would only find, my hand…

It would work…

It’s a bleak, dark break!

I wish I could see…

How I could ever be free…

One day I could break free…

From love.

It’s happening again,

I don’t know when it’s gonna end…
